SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Morningside men’s bowling team’s time at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Bowling Championships wrapped up earlier than the Mustangs would have liked, as a quarterfinal loss bumped the Mustangs to the tournament loser’s bracket.

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for men’s bowling, releasing this year's list alongside the other winter sports.

WICHITA, KAN. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference released its all-conference teams this afternoon, announcing a host of honors for Morningside’s Hunter Noteboom.

LAWRENCE, KAN. – Morningside’s men’s bowling team recorded their second highest single day tournament score of the season in the first iteration of the NAIA West Tournament at Royal Crest Lanes. The Mustangs toppled 4,639 pins to rank no. 8 in qualifying play, and finished 12th in match play.

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Morningside’s men’s bowling team concluded 2025 at the Collegiate Shoot-Out at Southpoint Bowling Plaza, placing 40th of 55 teams in the tier 1 tournament with 7,501 pins.

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Mustangs continued to add to their season resume this week, as they placed 33rd at the Tier 1 Glenn Carlson Invitational.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs followed up an 11th place finish in traditional play at the Mustang Invite with a fourth place finish in baker play, tallying 4,665 pins in the weekend’s second stanza.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Throughout the season, Morningside University men’s bowling coach Brett Hansen has seen progress.

ROCKFORD, ILL. – Morningside’s men’s bowling team continued on the road this weekend, competing in the 24th annual Leatherneck Classic, a 40-team tournament that saw the Mustangs finish in the no. 15 spot.

HASTINGS, NEB. – A strong showing from Nick Philthilath headlined Morningside’s visit to Hastings College and the Bronco Open, as the senior took the individual title in the event and led the Mustangs to a fifth place finish.

The top three bowlers for the Mustangs were Sandler Wiekamp with a score of 940, Brenden Lewis at 922 and Hunter Noteboom at 911.

Trevor Fisher had the highest score at 1,110, good for 62nd place. Sandler Wiekamp was 67th with 1,095, and Brenden Lewis was 84th with a score of 1,059.

The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association announced its scholar-athletes for the 2024 season.

OVERLAND PARK, KAN. – Morningside’s men’s bowling team competed in the 2024 NAIA Bowling National Qualifying Tournament, competing in a field consisting of Great Plains Athletic Conference, Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, and American Midwest Conference.

LAWRENCE, KAN. – It was a busy weekend in Kansas as the Mustangs competed in a pair of Tier 2 competitions as the regular season nears its close. As the long weekend came to a close for Morningside’s men, they added a 15th place and 17th place finish to their season’s results.

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Mustangs hit the lanes again to compete in their second Tier I tournament of this year’s Las Vegas trip, the 2023 Collegiate Shootout. With a team total of 8,023 pins, Morningside’s men finished the event ranked no. 40 of the 48 teams in attendance.
