SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Tonight marked a pair of first for the Mustang dance team, with Morningside competing in its first ever virtual competition. The next first came as the standings were revealed, as, for the second time this season, the Mustangs took the top spot in the field.
SIOUX CENTER, IOWA – A busy weekend of Morningside Dance culminated in an event championship for the Mustangs, as they took the top spot at the Dordt Invitational with an 83.80. Morningside warmed up for the weekend with a dual with Doane, where the Mustangs posted a 75.75.
SEWARD, NEB. – Morningside made its competitive season dance debut this weekend as part of Concordia University’s Day of Duals. The Mustangs came up short in both of their duals, posting an 83.6 and 79.73 on the way.
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics celebrated its annual National Awards Day today, announcing national awards recipients, the next hall of fame class, and the scholar teams for the 2022-23 academic year.
GREENWOOD, IND. – College Sports Communicators announced its At-Large Academic All-District Teams for 2023, including five Morningsiders. All-district honorees will move ahead for consideration for the At-Large CSC Academic All-America Teams.
YPSILANTI, MICH. – Morningside Dance kept its streak alive, appearing in the seventh consecutive National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Cheer & Dance Championship, performing in the national spotlight every year since the dance achieved the status of NAIA championship sport. The Mustangs placed sixth in this year’s event with a total score of 85.23.
