
Mustangs finish among top 10 teams in the country
YPSILANTI, MICH. – Two rounds of competition determined the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Dance National Champion this weekend on the campus of Eastern Michigan. Morningside, who joined the field as an at-large selection this year, finished ninth in the field, which consisted of the top 12 programs in the country.
Friday's preliminary round of competition saw Morningside post the eighth-highest score of the field, a 75.03 with just half of a point in deductions. The preliminary round both sets the performance order for finals and accounts for 25 percent of the final score.
The Mustangs increased their score in the finals, which resulted in a combined score of 75.88. The top seven positions stayed the same from day 1 to day 2, with Morningside getting bumped by the local Concordia Michigan, who had several points in deductions in the prelims.
