KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for football, releasing this year's list ahead alongside the other fall sports.
Several Morningside University football players on Wednesday received Great Plains Athletic Conference first-, second-team, and honorable mention recognition.

Ryan named AFCA Region 4 Coach of the Year
WACO, TEXAS – For the 12th time in his career, Steve Ryan has been named the American Football Coaches Association NAIA Coach of the Year for Region 4. 
The No.6-seeded Mustangs (10-1) received a first-round pass in the 20-team field, and will use the week to rest up and be fully ready to play Nov. 30.
The Mustangs ran the table in the league schedule, winning all 10 games starting with Concordia and ending Saturday against the Tigers.
On Saturday, the Mustangs clinched their 14th Great Plains Athletic Conference championship in program history.
