Three Mustangs named NAIA All-Americans
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Mustangs earned All-America status Wednesday morning, announced by the NAIA.
MARION, Ind. – A back-and-forth game from the start, Morningside took the first lead of the game but a touchdown in the fourth quarter gave Indiana Wesleyan a 24-21 win over the Mustangs in the second round of the NAIA Football Championship Series Saturday in Marion, Indiana.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Fourteen Mustangs received all-conference football honors, highlighted by Lonell Boyd Jr. being named GPAC Defensive Player of the Year, announced by the conference Wednesday morning.
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released its 2023 Football Championship Series qualifiers this evening, naming Morningside to the postseason field for the 20th consecutive season. The Mustangs will have a bye in the NAIA Football Championship Series First Round, grabbing the no. 10 seed as they also moved into the no. 10 spot in the final NAIA Coaches' Poll.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The No. 12 Mustangs concluded their regular season slate across town at Memorial Field, where they defeated Briar Cliff 34-8 to end the season at 9-2 overall and 8-2 in the GPAC.
