
AFCA, NAIA release All-American lists
WACO, TEXAS – The American Football Coaches Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released their All-American lists for the 2024 football season, naming three Morningside athletes to the first and second team lists.
Zack Chevalier received first team honors, after leading the nation in yards per game and overall yards. Through 13 games, Chevalier tallied 323 completions in 477 pass attempts, racking up 4,416 yards for 339.7 yards per game and 43 total touchdowns.
Aidan Queen was a second team selection for the Mustangs. Queen is a vital member of a Morningside offensive line that has allowed gains of 6,724 yards of total offense and 74 touchdowns, including 29 rushing touchdowns and an average of 5.1 yards per rush.
Dijion Walls received a second team selection after totaling 23 solo tackles and 25 assists this season, for an average of 3.7 tackles per game. Walls has snagged seven interceptions out of the air, returning two of them for scores including the Morningside record-setting 100 yard return in this year's NAIA Football Championship Series Second Round game. He also has nine pass breakups and one forced fumble to date.
