Men's bowling takes to the lanes in Midwest Collegiate Championships

WAUWASOTA, WISC. – Morningside men's bowling hit the lanes for the first time this season at the beginning of the month, competing in the Midwest Collegiate Championships on October 7 and 8 at Wauwasota's Bowlero Bowl. The Mustangs placed 27th in the 48 team field, totaling 8,635 pins following the completion of individual play and Baker games.

Morningside racked up 5,348 pins through individual play, with Alex Badger, Nick Philthilath, and Brenden Lewis leading the way, totaling 1,166, 1,157, and 1,147 pins as they averaged 194.33, 192.83, and 191.17 pins per game. Badger opened the weekend with a team-leading 224, while Lewis was pins behind at 222.

Badger finished no. 68 of the 377 competitors, with Philthilath at no. 71, and Lewis at no. 75.

The Mustangs are back in action this weekend, competing in the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge in Lawrence, Kan.
