Mustang bowlers compete in Cedar Valley Invite

WATERLOO, Iowa – Nick Philthilath bowled a 908 score to lead the Mustang men's bowling team Saturday and Sunday at the Cedar Valley Invite in Waterloo.

Philthilath's game-high 225 was the best game of the tournament for Morningside. Caleb Martin was second on the team with a 901 series and a high game of 214. Morningside bowled a team total of 4,281 to place eighth in the team competition. 

Philthilath and Martin were joined by Brett McEachern, Darren Stein, Parker Pooler and Seth Nelson in the Baker competition. The team bowled 2,888 for a 180.5 tournament average. Their overall total for the weekend was 7,169, placing the Mustangs eighth.

Next up for the Morningside bowling team is the Unaffiliated Conference Tournament Feb. 25-26 in Kansas City.
