KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for women’s cross country, releasing this year's list ahead alongside the other fall sports.

The Mustangs junior ran the 6,000-meter race in 22 minutes, 59.44 seconds to grab the No. 3 spot in the field.

Sporrer ran a 6,000-meter time of 22 minutes, 24 seconds at Mahoney State Park.

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Morningside University women’s cross country team tied for third place Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invitational at Adams Nature Preserve with 82 points.

Courtney Sporrer was the top runner for Morningside, as the Mustangs were fourth with 106 points.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Courtney Sporrer headlined the Mustangs’ debut at the Augustana Twilight Meet, taking 24th in a field of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and National Collegiate Athletic Association athletes. Morningside wound up placing 13th in the field of 30 teams.

On Tuesday, the Mustangs learned they are fifth in the conference preseason poll with 85 points. This season marks the second that the women will run 6,000 meters.
