Sporrer places 13th at Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic

ASHLAND, Neb. – Courtney Sporrer led the Morningside University women's cross country team to a 13th-place finish Saturday at the Blazing Tiger Classic.

Sporrer ran a 6,000-meter time of 22 minutes, 24 seconds at Mahoney State Park. She averaged 6:00 per mile, and she knocked 24 seconds off her time at the Briar Cliff Invite earlier this month.

London Rogge finished 120th to place second for Morningside. She ran her race in 24:35, while fellow junior Nicole Zuehl was 165th (25:21).

Paige Padavich was 180th with a time of 25:37. Lilian Dahlhauser was 229th (26:23), and Gabby Ryan was 231st (26:26).

Jillian Fierro finished in 26:54 for 247th, and Ella Stapek was 270th for 27:58.

The Mustangs finished 21st, good for 169 points.
