
Mustangs Finish no. 13 in Division I-Heavy Field in Fall Debut
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Courtney Sporrer headlined the Mustangs’ debut at the Augustana Twilight Meet, taking 24th in a field of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and National Collegiate Athletic Association athletes. Morningside wound up placing 13th in the field of 30 teams.

Sporrer's team-leading time on the 5,000-meter course was 17:55.57, as the teams wound their way around the Yankton Trail Park complex. London Rogge was Morningside's next finisher, crossing the line in 19:52.94 and Nicole Zuehl finished in 19:59.07. Paige Padavich and and Gabby Ryan rounded out the Mustangs' top five, crossing in 20:28.34 and 20:28.96, respectively.
Morningside's next outing comes in Dordt University's Sunflower open on Sept. 14 in Sioux Center.
