Mustangs finish fourth in competitive Sunflower Open field

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Morningside University women's cross country team placed fourth Saturday at the Dordt Sunflower Open.

The women scored 106 points, with three runners making the top-30. Courtney Sporrer placed 17th overall with a 5,000-meter time of 20 minutes, 0.21 seconds. Nicole Zuehl was 23rd at 20:26, and London Rogge was three places behind Zuehl at 20:42.72.

Paige Padavich was 47th in 21:32.54, Gabby Ryan 53rd at 21:40, and Jillian Fierro 56th (22:01.78).

Lillian Dahlhauser also placed 65th in 22:27.82, and Ella Stapek 69th in 23:08.34.
