
Spier leads Mustangs to third place finish at NAIA West
LAWRENCE, KAN. – Morningside's women's bowling team took full advantage of a final weekend of bowling before this year's Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, qualifying for match play of the first NAIA West Tournament in third place with 4,324 total pins. The Mustangs slid back to fourth place in head-to-head competition.
Rachel Spier led Morningside on the day, placing third with 986 pins. Emaly Kruse was 18th with 884 pins, and Samantha Schiefen was no. 25 with 860 pins.
The Mustangs are back in action for the second NAIA West Tournament on February 2.
