Softball places five on Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, IND. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-District Team for softball earlier today, placing five Mustangs on the squad.

Morningside is represented on the Academic All-District list by Kennedee Jones, Mackenna Sidzyik, Ellie Gengler, Bralen Biddlecome, and Kennedy Wineland. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with the All-America teams announced on June 18, 2024.

The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for a combination of success on the field and in the classroom, requiring that nominees maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and participate in at least 90 percent of the team's contests played or make 17 pitching appearances or pitch 25 innings throughout the season.
