Media Policy

Credentials

Morningside issued credentials are required for all reporters, photographers, videographers, or other media members that wish access to areas beyond those accessible to specators. Credentials are required for all varsity contests hosted by Morningside University and must be displayed at all times that personnel are working outside of spectator seating areas. Requests can be made by contacting Sports Information Director Nick Buth.  Morningside reserves the right to reject any credential request.

Passing of issued credentials, other than as authorized, is grounds for immediate removal from an event and a ban of the media outlet(s) from future events, pending a review by the Morningside University Office of University Engagement.

Credential bearers are responsible for awareness of their surroundings and the possibility of objects or personnel leaving the playing field. Morningside Unversity is NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE for any injuries or damages that occur therein.

Press Box & Press Row

Media credentials do not guarantee access to Morningside's press boxes or press row. If you will need access to these facilities, please make that clear when requesting credentials. Also indicate if your outlet will need access to a phone line, Internet connection, or any other accommodations. Space will be assigned as requested, with preference being given to audio productions.

Interview Requests

All interviews with Morningside University coaches, student-athletes, or staff must be coordinated through the University Engagement office.  To request an interview, contact Sports Information Director Nick Buth. Morningside's practices are closed to the media, with the exception of coordinated media days. Morningside University has a closed locker room policy.

Morningside requires media to be respectful of coaches' and athletes' time and space following games and allow for them to debrief following contests. Sports Information representatives can assist in lining up interviews after an appropriate period to allow for debriefing.

Parking

Parking at athletic facilities is first-come, first-serve.
