Women's cross country competes at BCU Invite
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – Mustangs placed seventh overall in a strong field at the Briar Cliff Invitational at Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City Saturday morning.
Courtney Sporrer paced the Mustangs by placing 11th overall in a time of 22:11.79. Taylor Sporrer was second on the team running 23:24.94 and Jolee Mesz was third running 23:30.5. Monica Olson ran 24:00.88 and Michelle Sanchez 24:42.12 for the Mustangs. The final two scorers for Morningside were Paige Padavich (25:06.79) and Ikilas Hasan (25:29.35).
Dordt and Concordia were the two NAIA schools ahead of Morningside in the team standings Saturday. Dordt, Sioux Falls, Concordia, Minnesota State and South Dakota State took the top five spots.
After a week off, the Mustangs are running again Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic.
