Hast named as honorable mention GPAC wrestler

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University sophomore Nevaeh Hast earned women's wrestling honorable mention honors at 207 pounds in the Great Plains Athletic Conference on Tuesday.

Hast had the best finish for the Mustangs last weekend, placing fourth in the GPAC Tournament Saturday at Doane. Her last win of the season was a pin in the consolation semifinals.

Hast won eight matches this season, including a pin at home against Buena Vista.

"We relied on the work we put in," said Hast after that Jan. 9 win. "It was so exciting. To see the progress we've made is crazy."
