Mustang trio competes at Doane
CRETE, NEB. – A trio of women's wrestlers competed at this year's Conner Oppenheim Open, hosted by Doane University.
Adilene Delgadillo opened the day with a fall in 34 seconds before moving to the consolation bracket after suffering a fall of her own. She then advanced via 9-3 decision and a 43 second fall, before taking a loss in a 1:25 fall to end her day.
Josie Biffar moved to the consolation bracket after landing on the short end of a 1:12 fall. She rebounded with a 41 second victory, but ended her day with a loss in 1:06.
Nevaeh Hast started strong with a pair of victories via fall, coming in 4:06 and 2:25 before suffering a fall in 14 seconds in the quarterfinals and a 2:02 fall in the consolation bracket.
The Mustangs head back to the mat in 2025, opening on January 5 against Sioux Falls.
