Mustang women compete in Missouri Valley Open

MARSHALL, MO. – Morningside's women's wrestling team continues to collect experience as it prepares for the inaugural Great Plains Athletic Conference women's wrestling championships later this season, wrestling in a strong field at the Missouri Valley Invitational this weekend.

Adilene Delgadillo started her run through the 131-pound bracket, pinning her opponent in 1:00 before suffering losses by fall and tech fall in subsequent rounds.

Elizabeth Rubio picked up a victory by fall in 1:18 in the opening round of the consolation bracket before suffering a tech fall in the second round of the bracket.

The Mustangs are on the road again on December 2, as they compete in the Doane Oppenheim/Conner Invite.
