Mustangs make 2024 debut at Luther Hill Open

INDIANOLA, IOWA – Morningside's women's wrestling team made its debut at the Luther Hill Open at Simpson College this weekend. It was a group of familiar faces that took the mat this year, as the second-year program fielded a quintet of returning sophomores.

Elizabeth Rubio was the forerunner for the Mustangs, picking up the season's first fall with a victory in 1:19 before suffering a pair of setbacks.

Morningside heads to Forest City, Iowa next weekend for the Waldorf Open.
