Mustangs battle at Grand View Open Saturday

DES MOINES, Iowa – Morningside women's wrestling sent a smaller group to Des Moines Saturday to compete in the Grand View Open.

Elizabeth Rubio lost her first round match at 136, but earned a victory by fall in 1:42 and by tech fall 10-0 in her next two matches to go 2-2 on the day. Josie Biffar similarly lost her first match of the day, but received a bye in her first consolation match and won by tech fall 13-2 before her day came to an end.

Morningside has one more competition prior to postseason action, taking a trip to Fremont, Nebraska for the Warrior Open on Feb. 10.
