
Mustangs return to action in Hastings
HASTINGS, Neb. – The Morningside women's wrestling team resumed its inaugural season Sunday by traveling to Hastings for the Bronco Women's Open.
Madeline Black continued her standout freshman season by picking up a pair of victories via fall in the 130-pound bracket. Black set a personal best for fastest pin in the first round, securing the pin in 20 seconds. Her second match was a bit longer, as she pinned her opponent in 1:38.
Another highlight of the day for the Mustangs came from Brooklin Kuester, who also earned a quick fall in her weight class, pinning her opponent in 1:17.
Morningside is back in action at the York Open Saturday in York, Nebraska.
