Marlow receives AVCA honors

LEXINGTON, KY. – For the second time in her career, Sydney Marlow has earned the honorable mention All-Region distinction for the West Central Region from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. 

Marlow, who was a first team all-conference selection by the Great Plains Athletic Conference, hit .197 on the season, averaging 3.38 kills per set with a total of 395 kills.

Defensively the senior accumulated 30 total blocks and 342 digs, for an average of 2.92 digs per set.

Early this season, Marlow set a new program record for kills in her career, resetting the mark for the current scoring era with every additional kill until the season's conclusion, when her total reached 1,547 kills. She also holds the career mark for kills per set, with 3.34, in addition to several other single game and season records.
