
Tindall leads throwers at USD Early Bird
VERMILLION, S.D. – Jacee Tindall headlined the Mustangs field efforts this weekend as Morningside competed in the USD Early Bird meet.
Tindall placed 12th in the javelin, with a throw of 33.79 meters and placed 30th in the hammer throw with a distance of 37.49 meters. Maddy Stanek was next for Morningside in the hammer at no. 36 with a throw of 33.58 meters. Ashley Adkins placed 39th with a throw of 26.25 meters.
Stanek also had a personal record in the shot put, throwing 10.78 meters to place 22nd. Shelby Mills was Morningside's lone competitor in the discus throw, clearing 36.12 meters to place 18th.
On the track,
London Rogge took fifth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 42:57.33. Courtney Sporrer finished ninth in the 3,000-meter steeple, with a time of 11:38.93. Nicole Zuehl placed 27th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.63. Gabby Ryan took 43rd in the 1,500-meter with a time of 5:25.32, followed by Lillian Dahlhauser in 51st with a time of 5:29.99.
The Mustangs return to competition next weekend in familiar territory, as the Sioux City Relays take place at the Elwood Olsen Stadium.
