Morningside competes at Concordia Twilight Friday night

SEWARD, Neb. – A handful of Mustangs made the trip to Seward, Nebraska to try and improve their marks at the Concordia Twilight Meet Friday night.

Courtney Sporrer led the Mustangs with a fourth place finish in the 1,500-meters, running 4:43.43. Monica Olson placed 16th by running a time of 5:04.85. 

Jolee Mesz placed 12th in the 400, running a time of 1:01.16. Emily Chicoine ran 2:19.68 for 13th and Taylor Sporrer ran 2:21.65 for 18th in the 800.

In field events, Shelby Mills placed 12th in the discus with a throw of 116-1 (35.39 meters). Chicoine threw 103-3 (31.48 meters) in the javelin.

The final meet of the year is the NAIA Championships May 22-24 in Marion, Indiana.
