Trio of throwers compete at Dennis Young Alumni Classic

STORM LAKE, Iowa – While the Morningside runners went to Brookings, the throwers went to Storm Lake Saturday for the Dennis Young Alumni Classic.

Jacee Tindall placed fourth in the shot put throwing 10.32 meters (33-10.25) and 12th in the weight throw throwing 9.13 meters (29-11.5). Javonte Madsen also competed in both events, throwing 7.88 meters (25-10.25) in the shot put and 9.52 meters (31-2.75) in the weight throw. Shelby Mills placed sixth in the weight throw, tossing 12.57 meters (41-3).

Morningside returns to action at the DWU Alumni Meet on Feb. 3.
