
Jensen leads Mustangs in win over Spring Arbor
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — For the second time this week, the Morningside women's tennis team earned a win in South Carolina. On Monday, the Mustangs defeated Spring Arbor 5-1.
Brooke Marshall and Line Jensen combined to win their No. 1 doubles match 6-1, and in No. 3 doubles play, Lidia Suarez and Sophia Guntren were victorious by a 6-3 result.
Jensen turned around to beat Moorea McNalley in No. 1 singles play, 6-4, 7-5. The Nos. 4 and 5 singles players, Stefany Simplicio and Guntren, earned wins in their matches. Suarez claimed her first set in the No. 6 singles match before falling 5-2 in the second set. Kailee Bailey came back to earn the second set 7-5 in the No. 3 singles.
