
Women's tennis falls to Missouri Baptist
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Mustangs suffered their season's first loss at the hands of Missouri Baptist at Kansas City's Northland Racquet Club, falling 5-2 to the Spartans.
Following Missouri Baptist's sweep of doubles play, Morningside got on the board with singles wins from Line Jensen and Sophia Guntren. Jensen won her no. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-2. Guntren lost her opening set 3-6 before picking up a 6-4 set and taking the super tiebreaker 10-2.
The Mustangs travel to Des Moines to play Grand View and Truman State on Thursday, starting at 9:30 a.m.
