Mustangs fall to no. 9 William Woods in women's tennis
FULTON, MO. – The Mustangs continue to challenge themselves in hopes of better preparing for their conference schedule, playing William Woods in Fulton, Mo. yesterday. Morningside fell to the no. 9 Owls by a score of 6-1.
Lidia Suarez was Morningside's lone scorer, winning the final match of the day 6-2, 7-6 with a 7-3 tiebreaker.
Annika Meisel's no. 4 singles match could've easily gone the other way, as she lost set one 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker and won set two 7-6 with a 7-5 tiebreaker before dropping a 10-7 super tiebreaker.
Morningside wraps up its spring break matches tomorrow as the women play Missouri Baptist and Principia.
