
Mahoney breaks two personal bests against Prairie Wolves
LINCOLN, Neb. — Morningside University sophomore Alice Mahoney broke two personal bests in a swimming dual against Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.
She set a personal best in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 4.06 seconds, good for second in the race. Delaney Biesecker placed fifth with a season-best 2:22.53 in the same race.
Then, Mahoney set a PR in the 50 free in 26.93 seconds. Lily Schwickerath was third in the 50 in 27.47, and Olivia Ramaeker was fifth (30.29).
Haley Snawerdt was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 59.82. Biesecker also placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:12.31), while Ramaeker was fifth in the 100 free in 1:09.05.
Two Morningside relays -- the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay -- finished third.
The Prairie Wolves defeated the Mustangs, 144-19.
