
Mahoney leads Mustangs in Saint Peter
SAINT PETER, MINN. – Alice Mahoney has emerged as a standout among Bryan Farris' women's swimming squad, repeating as one of the Mustangs' top finishers in this weekend's Grace Goblirsch Invitational.
Mahoney gave the Mustangs a top-10 finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing the race in 2:39.95. She also checked in in 11th in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:05.98.
Mahoney wasn't the only Morningsider to pick up a top-10 finish, though, as Olivia Ramaeker took the no. 9 spot in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.51 seconds. Lily Schwickerath finished behind her teammate in 27.56 seconds.
Morningside's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kaylee Barlow, Delaney Biesecker, Haley Snawerdt, and Schwickerath also finished in the 10 spot in a time of 1:51.68.
The Mustangs are back in the pool December 6 and 7 as they compete in the Pioneer Classic Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa.
