OLATHE, Kan. – The Morningside University women's soccer team was defeated on Saturday, 3-1, by No. 22 MidAmerica Nazarene in non-conference action.
Tuva Hammarlund scored the lone goal for the Mustangs (1-1-1), at the 39-minute, 38-second mark of the match. Alex McCaulley had the assist on the goal.
The Pioneers scored twice in the first half, then once more in the 52nd minute.
The Mustangs took 10 shots, including six in the second half. Keyera Harmon had a team-high three shots, one on goal.
Kyla Severson saved four shots out of seven total.
The Mustangs' next match is 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at RV Bellevue. Their next home contest is at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
