Brown leads Mustangs to team title at Peru State

NEBRASKA CITY, NEB. – Morningside claimed the team title at this year's Peru State Spring Invite yesterday, leading the field by 20 strokes.

Lucy Brown led the Mustangs in the two-day event, taking the individual title in the process. Brown's total of +18 gave her a comfortable five-stroke lead over second place.

Behind Brown, Alysen Sander placed third at +19. Kendra Casey and Ainsley Hergert were part of a four-way tie for fourth at +24, and Aidan Sander was 11th.

Morningside is back on the course on Monday, April 14, in the first of two days at the Kaitlyn Erickson Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.
