Brown named GPAC Golfer of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University women's golf sophomore Lucy Brown on Wednesday was named the women's golfer of the week in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.

Brown led the Mustangs to a seventh-place team finish last week at The Trailblazer tournament in Las Vegas, as she carded a 36-hole total of 161. That was good enough for 14th in a field of 67 golfers.

The Southport, United Kingdom, native finished in the Top 20 among all seven stroke play tournaments Morningside has competed in this academic year, including a medalist win at the Lisa Frommelt Fall Classic here in Sioux City in October.
