Brown Takes Crown at Lila Frommelt

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside Women's Golf landed its' highest placing finish of the season at Briar Cliff's Lila Frommelt Fall Classic, collecting the event title while battling windy conditions with a two-round total of 643 strokes. Lucy Brown took the event's individual title, with a 157.

Brown's championship carding placed her just a stroke ahead of Briar Cliff's Helene Bergmo, and two strokes ahead of teammate Aidan Sander. Sander tied for third in the Classic with a 159.

Morningside's Alysen Sander took the no. 5 spot with a 163 and Ainsley Hergert finished seventh with a two-day total of 169. 

The Mustangs are back in action on Monday as both the women and the men compete in the two-day Mustang Derby at Sioux City's Whispering Creek Golf Club.
