Bio

Brett Hansen was promoted to the post of head coach in the summer of 2023 after joining the Mustangs' coaching staff in the summer of 2021. 

Hansen was a four-year varsity team member for the Mustangs, helping the team qualify for USBC sectionals all four years.  As a senior in the 2019-20 campaign, Hansen was one of the team's top three place-winners at sectionals to help highlight his final season. 

He holds four sanctioned 300 games and has won the Sioux City Masters' Tournament twice. 

"My favorite aspect about college bowling was the fact that we did everything as a team, win or lose," explained Hansen. "The chemistry that we developed allowed us to stay competitive through the long seasons."

While at Morningside, he also worked at Plaza Bowl, developing a stronger investment and interest in the sport as a whole and on a local level.

Hansen graduated from Morningside in May 2020 with a degree in Public History. He is originally from Vermillion, S.D.
