SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Alexis Spier led the Morningside University women's basketball team in scoring Saturday in an 80-59 loss to Hastings at Allee Gymnasium.
Spier made six shots, including two 3-pointers, to earn 14 points. She was the only Mustang to score in double figures.
The third quarter was the best quarter for Morningside in terms of scoring, as it scored 22 points. During the third quarter, the Mustangs were 6 of 11 and made nine of 10 free throws.
Dani Peterson scored nine points off the bench, while Jordyn Carr had seven points.
Lily Vollertsen led the Mustangs with six total rebounds, including two offensively.
