Spier named all-conference, Lofstrom and Vollertsen honorable mention

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside women's basketball added a Great Plains Athletic Conference all-conference selection and a pair of honorable mention nods to the season trophy case.

Alexis Spier was Morningside's lone first team all-conference selection after averaging 13.8 points per game and shooting 74.2 percent from the field this season. The senior from Gretna, Neb. averaged 5.0 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per game.

Chloe Lofstrom was an honorable mention selection, averaging 9.3 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. The senior from Armstrong, Iowa shot 55.6 percent and averaged 1.6 assists per game.

Lily Vollertsen also received the honorable mention nod, averaging 12.6 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game. The junior from Syracuse, Neb. shot 49.1 percent from the floor while averaging 0.8 assists per game.
