Lofstrom named player of the week

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced the second iteration of its players of the week for basketball, including naming Morningside's Chloe Lofstrom as the recipient of the weekly women's basketball honor.

Lofstrom recorded her second double-double of the season in last week's 97-93 victory at Doane. The junior from Armstrong, Iowa recorded 22 points in the contest while pulling down 16 rebounds, including 11 defensive and five offensive boards. She also had two blocked shots.

Morningside's schedule this week includes Concordia on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Mount Marty on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both contests are at home.
