Fliege earns GPAC Pitcher of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University softball freshman Adeline Fliege was awarded Tuesday the Great Plains Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Fliege pitched 16 innings throughout the week, and she didn't allow an earned run. On top of that, the Omaha native struck out 11 and walked two over eight innings.

On the season, Fliege is 3-1 with a 0.52 ERA in 27 innings. Her strikeout-to-walk ratio is 18/8.

Fliege is also hitting .240 this season, knocking in four runs. Of her six hits, two are doubles.
