Mustangs finish sixth at Briar Cliff Invite
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Morningside University men's cross country team finished sixth Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invitational, scoring 128 points.
Sophomore Eein McKinley led the Mustangs with an 8,000-meter time of 27 minutes, 18 seconds.
Juniors Parker Halder and RC Hicks finished back-to-back in 29th and 30th, with times of 28:05 and 28:06.
Mustangs junior Casey Kruger was 46th, turning in a time of 29:03.
Braden Sonksen, a freshman, was 67th in 30:59, followed by junior Jose Lopez in 31:17.
The final four for Morningside were: freshman Oscar Benitez (78th, 32:34), freshman Gabriel Mora (80th, 32:59), junior Rodrigo Lopez (81st, 33:11), and freshman Aidan Long (90th, 37:15).
