2023 NAIA Scholar Athletes for Men's Cross Country

Five Mustangs placed on men's cross country scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for cross country, releasing this year's list ahead of the 2023 NAIA National Cross Country Championship in Vancouver, Wash.

Morningside had five athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Austin Ramold, Casey Kruger, Jose Lopez, Mason Welker, and RC Hicks.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar-athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
