Morningside men compete at Augustana Twilight

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Morningside men's cross country team placed 27th overall at the Augustana Twilight Meet Friday night. 

Garrett Hanson was the Mustangs' top runner, placing 178th out of 358 runners in a time of 22:16.23. Mason Welker was second on the team in a time of 22:32.76, followed by Parker Halder (22:45.53) and Nick Schiltz (22:57.53). 

The Mustangs compiled 744 points as a team to place 27th. Bellevue was the team ahead of Morningside, and Martin Luther and Southwest Minnesota State were the next two behind the Mustangs. 

Mornignside runs again Sept. 9 at the Dordt University Sunflower Opener.
