Men's cross country places two on scholar athlete list
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the first of its Daktronics Scholar Athletes for the fall sports seasons last week, with the honorees for men's cross country being announced ahead of the national championship.
Morningside placed two men's cross country members on the scholar athlete list, junior Mason Welker and senior Tanner Arens.
In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
