
Five named NWCA Academic All-American honorees
MANHEIM, PA. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association released its list of NAIA Men's Scholar All-American athletes last week, recognizing five Mustangs for their efforts in the classroom and on the mat.
The five Morningsiders that achieved the honor are Christian Ahrens, Chris Aragon, Caden Eggelston, Jakob Jerabek, and Carson Turnis.
"The NWCA is proud to recognize these outstanding individuals who embody excellence in both athletics and academics," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.
Honorees qualify for this award by being among the top eight finishers at the NAIA championships with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, by qualifying for the national tournament and maintaining a 3.25 GPA, or by participating in a conference tournament with a GPA of 3.5 or better and must have wrestled in at least 15 competitions, as listed in TrackWrestling.
