Four Mustangs to head to NAIA championships

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has released its qualifying list for the 2025 Men's Wrestling National Championship, held March 6-8 in Park City, Kan. Morningside has four individuals advancing to nationals following the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships last weekend. 

Blaine Christo is an automatic qualifier at 165 pounds, after being crowned GPAC Champion last weekend at Concordia. He received the league's only automatic berth at the 165-pound weight class.

Alex VanDyke, the league's champion at 174 pounds, also receives the GPAC's only automatic bid at that weight class. 

At 285 pounds, Jakob Jerabek picked up one of four automatic spots, qualifying as the league's runner up.

Caden Eggleston was the only Mustang to grab an at-large berth following a third place finish in the 157-pound bracket at Seward.
