Morningside's early rally sparks dual win over Red Raiders

 ORANGE CITY, Iowa — A streak of five consecutive match wins on Friday propelled the Morningside men's wrestling team to a 22-18 victory over Northwestern in a GPAC dual.

Chris Aragon got the 19-point streak going with an 18-1 technical fall at 149 pounds. Aragon clinched the technical fall at the 4-minute, 49-second mark. Aragon led 7-0 after the first period.

Caden Eggleston won at 157 pounds, and he scored four late points in his match to clinch the 5-3 victory.

Blaine Christo also led by seven early in his 165-pound battle, and that helped him earn a 16-0 technical fall win in 4:25.

At 174 pounds, Braedyn Rakes had a third-period takedown that helped him with a 4-0 decision.

Only one point was scored in the 184-pound match between Alex VanDyke and Jose Sanchez, and VanDyke scored it with a second-period escape.

Jacob Jerabek won his 285-pound match with a 4-0 win. He also scored a late takedown.
