Three men's wrestlers named to NAIA scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for men's wrestling, releasing this year's list ahead of the 2024 NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships in Park City, Kan.

Morningside had a trio of athletes receive the scholar-athlete distinction this year, Benjamin Schmitz, Brenick Birks Hoppe, and Jakob Jerabek.

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar-athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
