No. 14 Mustangs defeat Jimmies 32-18

JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The Mustangs picked up their second dual victory of the conference season Friday night, defeating Jamestown 32-18 in Jamestown.

Morningside earned two falls and two tech falls in the win. Caelan Oakes Sudhish earned a pin at 125 in 4:16 to get the night started. The second pin came in the 165-pound bout, where Abraham Dirkx took 3:54 to finish the match.

The two tech falls came in the 141 and 157-pound weight classes. Taylor Vasquez tallied 21 points in his tech fall victory and Noah Styskal's win was 17-2. The other Mustang win on the mat was Hunter DeJong at 285, where he earned a 12-2 major decision. Morningside earned six more points from a Jamestown forfeit at 174. The Mustangs left 133 open to give the Jimmies six of their 18 points. 

Morningside now takes a break until the turn of the calendar. The Mustangs are at the Central Invite on Jan. 6.
