Diener repeats as wrestler of the week

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – For the second week in a row, John Diener has been selected as the Great Plains Athletic Conference wrestler of the week.

Diener won the individual title for the 149-pound weight class at last weekend's GPAC tournament, recording three pins on his way through the bracket. Diener scored crucial points for Morningside as the team continued on to win the team title, pinning Doane's Nathan Lendt, who is ranked no. 8 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' final rankings of the season.

Diener is a senior from Kaukauna, Wis.
