Jerabek named GPAC Player of the Week

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – For the second week in a row, a Morningsider was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference player of the week for wrestling. Following a best-in-class day at the Dave Edmonds Open, Jakob Jerabek took the league title for the week's competition.

Jerabek won the 285-pound weight class bracket in this week's Dave Edmonds Open. The sophomore moved through the championship bracket with falls in the first round and the quarterfinals. He wrestled NCAA DII Augustana's Max Balow to a 6-0 decision in the semifinals, and collected a 3-2 victory in tiebreaker one over unattached Zephaniah Sivels.
